Worship

We at The Journey believe that every aspect of worship must be centered on God. That the Holy Spirit guides us in worship so that we can draw attention to Jesus Christ by glorifying and honoring Him and not drawing attention to ourselves. The Bible teaches that God inhabits the praises of His people. Worship brings us into greater relationship with God, transforms us and causes us to live a life pleasing to God. Therefore, we can focus on the gospel and grace extended as a gift as we worship the true and living God. Worship is a show of worth to God. It is more than a song, a prayer, a drama, a video, or a sermon, but it is a combination of them all as they are used to draw us closer to God.

Worship is a continual act of:

Winning others to Jesus

Obeying God

Reading the Bible

Spirit filled singing praise to God

Helping and encouraging others

Investing in God’s work

Praying to the Lord

Worship at The Journey Church starts at 10:15 on Sunday morning. We believe that Christ-centered worship should be fun and participatory. Most of our musical worship involves our full band playing modern worship songs. This can include current songs you may hear on Christian radio, ancient hymns, as well as choruses from the 90s and early 2000s. We also have instrumentals, chorales, drama selections, inspirational videos, and special teachings from the word of God. Messages are always biblical, inspired by the Holy Spirit, practical and meant to draw you closer to God.
